CITY OF RICHARDSON: Real Estate Association Cleans Up Huffhines Park

City

City of Richardson issued the following announcement on June 4

Late last month the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the Asian Real Estate Association of America helped clean up Huffhines Park. Each May the group picks a community/civic project to get involved in as a way to celebrate “Meaningful May,” which coincides with Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. For May 2021, volunteers from the group collected 20 pounds of trash at Huffhines Park as part of the City’s Community & Corporate Environmental Cleanup Program (CCECP).

The Health Department sponsors the CCECP, providing guidance and supplies to groups wanting to help keep the city clean and prevent trash from blowing into waterways. Supplies provided include plastic gloves, tongs and trash bags, and the City picks up the bags, if needed, when the event is finished. Any group of any size is welcome to participate.
