City of Mesquite issued the following announcement on June 25

 As a part of its Recovery Mesquite efforts to help the community move forward and onward from the impacts of the pandemic, the City of Mesquite continues the virtual Community Health Forum Series on June 29 at 7 p.m., with a focus on men’s health and fitness as a part of Men’s Health Month. This month’s forum is sponsored by Dallas Regional Medical Center.

The forum will feature panelists:

  • Dr. Mazen Hariri (Primary Care Physician): He will discuss primary care issues related to men’s health, such as common issues affecting men, and what to look for when men age.
  • Dr. Obiora Anusionwu (Cardiologist): He will discuss typical issues affecting men from a cardiology perspective, as well as tips for men to keep their hearts healthy.
  • Carrie Phillips (Primary Care Nurse Practitioner): She will discuss diet and exercise tips.

The forum will discuss men’s health with primary care providers and a cardiologist. There will be a focus on common issues affecting men, what to look for as men age, heart health, plus diet and exercise tips for living a healthy life. The panelists are representing Dallas Regional Medical Center and are all employed providers of the hospital’s affiliated clinics, listed as Dallas Medical Physician Group.
