City of Lewisville issued the following announcement on April 20
Several big-name acts highlight the return of Lewisville’s popular “Sounds of Lewisville” concert series, a free family favorite since 1991, at Wayne Ferguson Plaza in the heart of historic Old Town Lewisville.
Concerts start at 7 p.m. every Tuesday night in June and July. Opening acts will perform 7-7:45 p.m.; headliners will perform 8-9:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for their comfort. Well-behaved pets on a leash are allowed at the shows. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
The series kicks off June 1 with Forever Mac – A Celebration of Fleetwood Mac. Josh Wright, the 2020 People’s Choice Award winner, will be the opening act. Returning acts include Uptown Funk – Bruno Mars Tribute, Desperado Eagles Tribute, and Bidi Bidi Banda. New performers in this year’s Sounds series include VHX – The Van Halen Experience (June 15), i.Tina Tribute Band (June 22), and The Tejas Brothers (July 13). The award-winning Wayne Ferguson Plaza is a 1.5-acre urban park that takes on a contemporary sweeping gesture using water to link east to west and united Lewisville City Hall and Lewisville Grand Theater. It features an elevated stage, a multi-level seating area, an interactive splash pad and a garden filled with swathes of native grasses and wildflowers.
To reach the concert sites from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. The Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Charles streets, or at Lewisville City Hall.
