Dallas Police are investigating the incident after a 3-year-old child was shot and killed on Monday.
On March 28, the unidentified boy was taken to Medical City Dallas Hospital near U.S. Highway 75 by his mother and was pronounced dead.
Reports prompted officers to respond to the hospital around 10:20 a.m. to investigate what caused the shooting.
Crime scene tape was observed surrounding the mother’s Subaru sedan, and several Dallas police squad vehicles were stationed outside the hospital’s emergency room entrance around 1 p.m.
A tow truck later arrived and towed the car away. There was no visible damage to the vehicle’s exterior.
