Spirit Day at Campisi’s Lovers Lane for TeamIzzy Foundation: Supporting Childhood Cancer Awareness Month On Wednesday, September 25th. Campisi’s Lovers Lane location will host a special “Spirit Day” event, where a portion of the day’s sales will benefit the TeamIzzy Foundation in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, also known as “Go Gold” in September.
This initiative is aimed at raising both funds and awareness for childhood cancer, and the support of local businesses like Campisi’s plays a vital role in making a difference. The TeamIzzy Foundation was created in memory of Izzy Martin, a vibrant young girl whose life was tragically cut short by cancer. Izzy was the older sister of Madeline, a close friend of Mila Campisi, and the Martin family remains an active part of the Christ the King School community. Before moving to the Episcopal School of Dallas, Izzy attended CKS, and her legacy continues to touch the hearts of many in the community.
Christine Martin, Izzy’s mother, is the driving force behind this foundation, working tirelessly to honor Izzy’s memory and help other families affected by childhood cancer. Through events like this, the foundation brings awareness to the ongoing battle against this devastating disease. Campisi’s, a beloved family-owned restaurant chain, has long been a staple of Dallas with a history dating back to 1946. Known for their delicious pizza and authentic Italian fare, Campisi’s holds a special place in the hearts of Dallas residents. But beyond their culinary excellence, Campisi’s has always been committed to giving back to the community.
Their deep roots in Dallas extend beyond their iconic Lovers Lane location, as they are known for their charitable contributions and involvement in local causes. Hosting events like Spirit Day in support of the TeamIzzy Foundation is just one example of how Campisi’s continues to uphold its tradition of philanthropy and community involvement.
The Campisi family’s story is a unique one, with the original restaurant on Mockingbird Lane being one of the first pizzerias in Dallas. Over the decades, their business has grown while maintaining the same warm, inviting atmosphere that has made it a local favorite. Their commitment to quality and tradition is matched only by their dedication to supporting charitable causes, making them the perfect partner for this important fundraising event. We encourage everyone to visit Campisi’s Lovers Lane on September 25th and enjoy a meal while supporting an incredible cause.
Whether you are dining in or taking out, your participation will help raise funds for the TeamIzzy Foundation and bring us one step closer to fighting childhood cancer.
