Juvenile Dies After Car Hits Horses

A juvenile riding a horse was killed, and two others were injured after being hit by a car Tuesday morning in Dallas, police said.

The incident happened around 5:30 a.m. near Interstate 45 and Great Trinity Forest Way.

The three juveniles were riding stolen horses, police said in a news release.

Two juveniles were taken to a local hospital. One rider died on the scene, police said.

One of the three horses was killed, and another was euthanized, police said. The third was injured but is expected to recover.

The driver remained on the scene and was not expected to be charged, police said.
