Dallas municipal courts reopened Tuesday after being closed after an alleged ransomware attack on the city’s computer system.

The courts effectively were shut down since May 3, the City of Dallas said.

“While court has been closed since May 3 due to the network outage, City of Dallas residents have been able to mail payments, requests, or documents to court,” the city said in a statement.

“All cases will be reset and notices will be mailed. Citation payments or documents due while Municipal Court [was] closed will be processed after May 30.”
