Body Discovered in Burning Vehicle

Police have launched an investigation after a body was discovered inside a burning vehicle Saturday, CBS reports.

The vehicle and the body were found near the 4600 block of Burma Road near the Mt. Elam Missionary Baptist Church.

Around 8 p.m., Dallas Fire-Rescue Department responded to a report of a burning vehicle in the woods near Burma Road. They discovered a small SUV in flames and discovered the body after putting out the vehicle fire. Police were then called to the scene.

Police documented the death as unexplained.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner is working to identify the body and determine the cause of death.
