Early Sunday morning, Arlington police working an unrelated call reported hearing the sound of gunfire at a nearby bar on Great Southwest Parkway near Division Street.
The responding officers arrived at the scene to find a 33-year-old man dead and another man injured. The shooting occurred around 1 a.m. on January 9, following an altercation at the bar.
According to witnesses, the 33-year-old went to his car to retrieve a gun and began shooting. Someone else in the crowd returned fire, killing the man.
The injured man was transported to the hospital. The identities of the two victims have not been released.
An investigation is ongoing.
