An apartment building caught fire early this morning in southwest Fort Worth.

Firefighters arrived at the Chisholm Ranch Apartments on Pecos River Trail on January 4, around 4 a.m, to see a blaze coming through the roof.

It took first responders nearly forty-five minutes to remove residents and contain the flames.

As a result of the fire, most of the apartments in the building were destroyed due to the fire and smoke, as well as the subsequent water damage from the fire department’s response.

Eleven people are displaced from their units.

Officials are unclear on how the fire began. No injuries were reported.
