A 35-year-old man from McKinney has been arrested by investigators with the Collin County Sheriff’s Office Child Exploitation Unit (CEU).
Beau Rosen is charged with online solicitation of a minor, as authorities said that he expressed sexual desires to a 15-year-old girl. Unbeknownst to Rosen, the “girl” he was communicating with was actually an undercover officer.
According to deputies with the CEU, on March 3 at approximately 12:58 p.m., Rosen began talking online with the policeman who was posing as a young girl.
Officers said that Rosen communicated an intention to meet the “girl” and engage in sexual activity with her within the first 20 minutes of the conversation, according to CBS 11.
After confirming multiple times that the female was 15 years old, Rosen asked that they meet later that afternoon. Authorities said he arrived at the chosen location for the meeting, a local park, and was arrested by deputies.
Rosen is being held in the Collin County Detention Facility on a charge of Online Solicitation of a Minor – Sexual Conduct.
