A Houston man was found dead in the trunk of his car at a Dallas impound lot on January 19, as previously reported by KPRC 2 News.

According to authorities, 25-year-old Taylour Young’s body was in an advanced state of decomposition.

One of Young’s friends, who organized a search for him, Autumn Beviacqua, told the station, “I just want to know what happened, I want to know who would do something like this to him. He was proud of the things he had, the things he accomplished, he was proud of his friends, his family, he loved to skateboard… literally always had [a] smile on his face.”

The victim had been missing since December 9. His girlfriend made the report to Houston Police.

His mother, Tiffany Robinson, was worried after he did not return from his lunch break. She decided to use a tracking app that located his phone in the bushes near Capital One Bank off Voss Road in Houston.

Police did not find evidence of foul play in the bank’s surveillance footage.
