The man allegedly behind the February 10 shooting at an apartment complex building has been arrested.
As previously reported by The Dallas Express, a 19-year-old was fatally shot. Officers had responded to an apartment complex in the 600 block of East Ash Lane that evening when they found someone in the parking lot with a gunshot wound.
The victim was transferred to a hospital in Grapevine; however, he succumbed to his wounds on February 11.
The 19-year-old who was killed has been identified as Lamonte Robert Watkins.
Now, The Dallas Morning News reported that the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Elijah Royal in connection with the shooting.
The charges Royal faces are unclear. It is also not known whether he is being represented by an attorney.
