A 2-alarm fire at the 1505 Exchange Apartments in Fort Worth left two people in need of treatment for smoke inhalation Tuesday morning.
It began around 10:30 a.m. on February 1 within the 1700 block of Homedale Drive.
The blaze consumed the first and second floors of the apartment building and had traveled to the attic when firefighters arrived.
According to a tweet from the Fort Worth Fire Department, the fire crew announced a second alarm and more first responders were called to assist; together, they had the fire contained within 30 minutes.
Two units in the building suffered “heavy damage,” and two others received moderate damage.
No other injuries were reported.
An investigation is ongoing to find out what caused the fire.
