A 16-year-old girl was shot just across the street from Southwest High School in Fort Worth on Friday.
Fort Worth Police said that officers were alerted to a shooting at the intersection of Altamesa Boulevard and Woodway Drive at about 12:15 p.m. on March 4.
When responding officers arrived at the scene, they found that a teenage girl had been shot in the leg.
The school was put on lockdown as a precaution, according to CBS 11 News.
The victim was transferred to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries, which police said are not life-threatening.
Police did not release the identity of the victim nor provide a description of any possible suspects.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
