On Thursday around 9 pm, Fort Worth police found 13-year-old Zakavia Walker fatally shot in the parking lot of a shopping center. The mall is located on the city’s south side near Altamesa Blvd and McCart Avenue.
Walker was taken to a hospital and died shortly thereafter.
Police stated that someone walked up to the victim and shot her, but did not release any other details.
The description of the suspect is unknown.
