Two people are injured and one person has died after a house caught fire in Far North Dallas on February 9.

The Dallas Fire-Rescue Department (DFD) arrived around 6:50 a.m. within the 7900 block of Briaridge Road near Coit Road on Wednesday, February 9.

According to DFD Spokesman Jason Evans, the one-story home was consumed with thick black smoke and heavy fire.

A woman whose identity is not confirmed died within the residence.

The two injured include a firefighter who endured minor smoke inhalation, and a civilian who suffered burns.

Both individuals were transported to a hospital.
