Kansas City-based Chicken N Pickle is opening a third location in North Texas.
Chicken N Pickle is a unique hybrid-style restaurant and entertainment complex that combines dining, pickleball, and other games like shuffleboard, cornhole, and ping pong.
The newest Chicken N Pickle location will be situated on about four acres at The Farm in Allen, a $14.7 million, 135-acre mixed-use development project off State Highway 121 and Alma Drive.
The Farm in Allen will contain office space, urban residential, senior living, retail, corporate headquarters, townhomes, lofts, restaurants, and entertainment venues such as Chicken N Pickle, and an open-air entertainment and restaurant venue called The Hub.
Construction on the 43,000-square-foot venue will begin in September and is projected to be completed in about a year. The venue itself will be located on Johnson Road and Quail Covey Road.
Upon its completion, the project will feature a two-story restaurant and bar, a single-story pickleball court building, new outdoor pickleball courts with open shade structure, and outdoor yard space with sidewalks, state records show.
A Chicken N Pickle venue had been a must-have for The Farm for about three years, according to Bruce Heller, president of JaRyCo Development, the construction firm behind the sprawling mixed-use project.
“We are very selective in the amenities and companies we invite to The Farm in Allen to ensure we are creating a top development that will be a part of the Allen community for years and decades to come,” said Heller, per The Dallas Mornings News. “With this in mind, we believe Chicken N Pickle will be a great addition to The Farm.”
Since its founding in Kansas City, Missouri, in 2016, Chicken N Pickle has grown into a successful family-friendly venue with 15 locations open or under development across Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, and Colorado.
The brand’s existing North Texas locations are in Grand Prairie and Grapevine.
