Tahiti’s Breeze, a tropical “clean-water” swimming pool and water park resort concept, announced that it has launched its equity and rewards-based crowdfunding campaign on Netcapital. The funds raised will be used to construct and operate its first location, slated for Dallas.

The first ten investors will receive the Tier 1 rewards package, including free admission for a year, a gift package, and VIP invitations. The next twenty to pledge and invest $1,000 or more will attain the second level of rewards, including an invitation to the red carpet grand opening, and their name on the Hall of Fame.

For those who can’t make it to the islands, Tahiti’s Breeze aims to bring the island experience closer to home. At least one of the company’s planned parks will be located in Dallas.

The water park will be modeled after the island of Tahiti, simulating the Tahitian experience with tropical vegetation, cultural food favorites, and tiki huts on the water (licensed for commercial use). The park will offer day and overnight stays in its world-class overwater bungalows. It will also offer a variety of entertainment and water-based activities.

One important feature of this next-generation water park is its unique water treatment and filtration system that proponents claim will eliminate the harmful contaminants found in most public bodies of water.

As mentioned on the company’s site, in 2014 the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found pool water contamination in more than 50% of public pools. Microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria, fungi, parasites, and a host of harmful chemicals are also found in natural bodies of water, such as lakes, rivers, oceans, and ponds. These contaminants can lead to recreational water illness. A Slip’ N Slide television show was recently shut down due to an outbreak of a water-borne parasite, Giardia.

Tahiti’s Breeze will offer patrons a tropical getaway experience without the worry of water-borne illness or the expense and inconvenience of a trip to the islands.
