A Dallas restaurant company is expected to open another one of its brands in the area later this year.

According to a state filing, HG Sply Co. is projected to spend $250,000 to remodel a two-story building at 3351 Texas Sage Trail. Construction is scheduled to be completed by mid-June.

HG Sply Co. is one of seven concepts owned by UNCO. The others are Leela’s Wine Bar, HERO, Milli, Tina’s Continental, Culpepper Cattle Company, and Standard Service. Founded in 2013, UNCO “set out to create restaurants that would enable people to live more intentional lifestyles.”

The other HG Sply Co. restaurants are located in Dallas on Greenville Avenue, in Fort Worth on River Run, and in Trophy Club on Texas 114 Frontage Road. The menu includes burgers, chicken, vegan nachos, cochinita nachos, salmon poke tacos, lamb tabbouleh, soups and salads, chicken sandwiches, and assorted bowls.

According to the Fort Worth Report, HG Sply Co. announced in a news release that it plans to open the second Fort Worth location at Alliance Town Center in late winter, offering indoor and outdoor seating for more than 300 people and a bar on the second floor.

“Ten years ago, I was in the kitchen of HG Dallas, slinging sweet potato hash while my eight-year-old daughter was seating SMU students at brunch on Saturdays,” founder Elias Pope said in the news release, according to the FWR.

“Now we are looking to bring HG Sply Co. to a fourth community in DFW and Haley is a freshman at SMU! We’ve learned how subjective ‘food that fuels your day’ can be and have evolved to better understand ingredients that our passionate regulars crave.”

Plan B Group of Dallas is listed as the design firm on the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing. Its portfolio includes Haywire in Uptown Dallas.
