Pembroke Instruments, a San Francisco-based company, has joined forces with Automation Technology, a German company, after signing a business agreement to expand sales of AT products in North America. The new products include AT’s compact IRSX thermal cameras and 3D laser triangulation sensors.

Pembroke Instruments specializes in CCD Cameras, SWIR Cameras and Microscopes, Thermal Cameras, 3D Sensors and VUV/XUV/X-Ray Spectrometers.

The 3D laser triangulation solutions family includes pre-configured sensors to cover a wide range of fields of view (FOV) and target volumes with the required x, y spatial resolution. The customer specifies the required data, such as altitude, height, distance, and volume. Typical applications include weld bead inspection, automotive tire inspection, glue bead inspection, ball grid array (BGA) inspection and wood surface inspection.

With the IRSX series, intelligent, self-contained thermal imaging systems specifically designed for industrial use are offered for the first time. Designed as an all-in-one solution, the IRSX cameras combine a calibrated thermal imaging sensor with a powerful data processing unit that fits into the smallest of spaces.

Once installed, they will communicate directly with your operations control system, providing a remarkable functional solution for the practical implementation of Industry 4.0. Some of the uses for these thermal cameras include electronic board fault detection, petrochemical flame monitoring, slag detection, and early fire detection.
