Top retailers are kicking off their holiday sales early this year, with Walmart, Amazon, and Best Buy dropping deals starting next week.

It might be a few months early, but major retailers are getting ahead of the holiday rush with sales on electronics, home goods, apparel, and more.

The Walmart Deals – Holiday Kickoff savings event will start on Monday, October 9, and run through Thursday, October 12. The sale will feature discounts on various products such as TVs, toys, kitchen gadgets, and computers.

Amazon’s “Prime Big Deal Days” will run on October 10 and 11 and is available exclusively to Prime members. The two-day holiday sale will include a wide array of products at a range of discounts, with some discounts as low as 50% off.

Best Buy will also offer a 48-Hour Flash Sale on October 10 and 11. Shoppers will get access to hundreds of deals on items from televisions and laptops to headphones and smartwatches.

October is also member-exclusive month at Best Buy, meaning for the entire month, Plus and Total members will get exclusive access to thousands of deals and tech discounts.

“Our teams are ready to deliver a holiday like never before — with more savings, convenient gift pick-up and delivery, as well as new in-store, online, and virtual experiences,” said Jason Bonfig, senior executive vice president of customer offerings and fulfillment at Best Buy.

“We’ll also have our broadest collection to date of new and emerging technologies, like e-transportation, health and wellness, and outdoor living, and more ways to help shoppers get the expert advice we know they’re looking for.”

If shoppers don’t get a chance to take advantage of the early bird sales starting next week, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are right around the corner.

Vivek Pandya, head of digital insights at Adobe, told Yahoo Finance, “When you have discounts at this sort of level, it can entice consumers to purchase. The holiday season is that time period where they’re really looking to get their gift-giving done. And they’re wanting to do it in a way where they can get maximum value and kind of manage cost.”

“[W]e’ll start to see discounts go as deep as about 20% starting on November 1. And then we’ll see the best absolute discounts kick in in the weekend going into Thanksgiving week. And those discounts will be about as deep as 35%.

“And then they’ll weaken to about 16% for the rest of the season. So discounts across the season. But really consumers are going to have to negotiate what the priority for them will be, whether it’ll be early shopping or getting the best absolute discount possible.”
