Several up-and-coming online retail brands are slated to open physical stores at Southlake Town Square.
Southlake Town Square, a 130-acre mixed-use development with over 100 stores and restaurants, is expected to welcome eight new retail stores by the end of the year, with several brands making their grand debut in North Texas.
The four online brands getting their first brick-and-mortar stores in Dallas-Fort Worth include Chubbies, Waggle Golf, Fount Leather, and Southern Tide.
Each brand has a proven track record of online sales but lacks a physical store to help enhance and accelerate growth, according to Jason Kasal, vice president and senior leasing director at Kite Realty Group, the real estate investment trust behind Southlake Town Square.
“We strive to offer unique access to a collection of brands that are still new to the shopper,” said Kasal, The Dallas Morning News reported.
With 120 different retail stores, Southlake Town Square is considered one of the premier shopping precincts in DFW, according to Meredith Liewehr, marketing manager for the mixed-use development.
“Southlake Town Square is widely considered a top shopping destination in the region that offers a charming ‘old town’ setting among modern, on-trend brands,” Liewehr told The Dallas Express.
The latest retailers to open in the shopping center include Austin-based leather boot brand Tecovas, which opened on Friday, and Arizona-based wine bar Postino WineCafé, which opened on Monday.
“Southlake Town Square continues to attract up-and-coming brands who are looking for unique locations to expand their market share from online to brick-and-mortar,” Liewehr told The Dallas Express.
Other brands opening stores at Southlake Town Square include facial salon Skin Laundry, performance apparel brand Vuori, casual apparel brand Faherty, and men’s apparel brands johnnie-O.
Apparel brands Vuori, Faherty, Waggle, and Southern Tide are anticipated to open in November, while johnnie-O, Chubbie, and Skin Laundry are forecast to open in December.
