A video posted by an attorney on TikTok went viral last weekend because it showed an all-pink legal practice in Texas.

A male boss had told attorney Kathleen Martinez that her work attire was inappropriate and that she should dress more conservatively and less lavishly. Martinez’s reaction and response resonated with others, so her video went viral.

Initially, Martinez shared a photo montage of herself in black with the caption, “Working for male attorneys who told me to dress conservatively so I could be taken seriously.” The second video clip was quite different.

In her own Legally Blonde moment, Martinez and three colleagues decided to go all-pink with the caption, “So [in response] I started my own firm with a pink brand and took/stole their clients in the process,” Martinez responded.

“I chose pink because it is my favorite color, and it embodies femininity. The legal field is historically conservative and male-dominated,” Martinez told Entrepreneur.

“We often refer to traditional law firm culture as a ‘boys club.’ I often felt like I had to dress in an understated fashion so that my male employers could focus on my capabilities as an attorney.” The video accumulated over 5 million views in only a few days.

Martinez’s firm, Martinez Immigration, is branded in all-pink, down to the colors on her website and her almost entirely-female staff.

People were raving and praising her in the comments. One person said, “I would 100% pick y’all from a client standpoint.” Another commented, “Ain’t nothing like a strong woman IN PINK.”

Martinez commented, “When I started my firm, I chose to brand ourselves with the color pink to break the ceiling limiting smart, professional women from expressing themselves. We embrace our femininity, and it hasn’t prevented us from success,” Martinez said.

Furthermore, the virtual immigration attorney said, “Our clients find that we stick out from other immigration lawyers, and our clients specifically remember us because of our pink brand, billboards, and advertisements. Female clients hire us because they like our feminist agenda and can relate to us when it comes to gender inequality and discrimination.”

The Martinez Immigration law firm specializes in immigration, marriage visas, removal defense, green card services, passport services, and more. While they have an office in Allen, her services are also available virtually.

You mean the Barbie Doll in the middle? Nah. If she’d had plastic surgery, they’d have done something about her crooked lips.

Cheesecake. Maybe they need to wear those pink hats the protesters wore a couple years ago.

the legal profession may once have been conservative, but it hasn’t been for decades now. Now the entire legal profession is as liberal as the day is long.

Why didn’t she post a picture of how she was dressed when she was asked to dress more conservatively? Was she dressed like a slut? It looks like the token male is her husband. He’s probably p-whipped and has to be there so she doesn’t get sued for discrimination.

I wonder if she understands that if
she’s predominantly hiring only women, she can get sued for sexual discrimination.
