Boutique private air carrier JSX will start running flights from Dallas Love Field to destinations in California and Nevada as it looks to expand its travel offerings to passengers.
JSX operates using Embraer 135 and Embraer 145 jets and describes itself as a “Hop-On jet service” offering “private travel at not-so-private fares.”
Both jets could carry up to 65 passengers comfortably, but JSX reconfigured each aircraft to an “all first class” 30-seat setup.
New JSX flights will fly out of Dallas Love Field beginning September 29, with prices starting at $499.
With the addition of Love Field, the airline’s Texas network now includes routes out of Dallas, Austin, and Houston.
Other network nodes include Destin and Miami in Florida, Denver, Colorado, and the ski resort town of Crested Butte, also in Colorado.
“With network air travel becoming less predictable, we are delighted to add a new reliable nonstop route between Dallas and Orange County and daily service between Dallas and Las Vegas,” said JSX CEO Alex Wilcox in a statement.
Wilcox went on to say, “We look forward to expanding our Texas network and continuing to provide our customers with the convenience of readily accessible hassle-free flights that quickly get them out of the airport and into the action with no dwell time and no stress.”
While carriers like American Airlines remain hampered by cancellations and staffing shortages, JSX claimed it is completing 99.5% of its flights.
After first checking in with security, JSX passengers who fly out of Love Field will get access to a private terminal that lets them skip traditional TSA lines.
Passengers will be limited to two carry-on bags but can receive accommodations for more oversized items like skis and snowboards.
The cost to fly out of Love Field on a JSX aircraft comes at a premium. For instance, Southwest Airlines’ cheapest one-way ticket would run customers around $195 compared to the $549 price tag JSX plans on charging, according to Private Jet Card Comparisons.
In keeping with its Luxury brand, JSX stated it would be adding free high-speed SpaceX Starlink Wifi on most of its aircraft by the end of the year.
