A pair of salon franchises — Blo Blow Dry Bar and LashKind — will operate side-by-side at a joint concept in Frisco.

Owned by Texas native Judy Adams, the store is expected to open in March at 4800 Eldorado Parkway in Suite 500 after a $200,000 renovation project is complete at the 2,218-square-foot space, according to a state filing.

In a news release, Adams said Frisco is a good location for the store. “Blo Blow Dry Bar has given me a great opportunity to continue owning my own business while having the backing of an existing company,” she said in the release.

“With beauty being a staple for many, everyone deserves an affordable way to treat themselves and feel beautiful, and I knew there was a need for this in Frisco and Texas as a whole.”

Blo Blow Dry Bar opened its first store in 2007 in Canada with its “no cuts, no color” concept and has since launched 149 stores. It also owns LashKind. Adams previously owned a coffee shop focused on supporting veterans and first responders, which she sold earlier this year.

She also attended cosmetology school while working her corporate job and was introduced to both Blo and LashKind as a customer.

“With Judy’s existing entrepreneurial experience, we are confident that she will be a strong partner,” said Blo Blow Dry Bar CEO Vanessa Yakobson in a statement. “Being at the intersection of the beauty and wellness industries, we offer a unique franchising experience.

Our strong brand presence, coupled with multiple revenue streams, makes us a compelling choice for those looking to invest in a dynamic business venture,” added Yakobson.
