PlantBased Innovations, based in Leominster, Massachusetts, announced a voluntary recall of Higher Harvest by H-E-B Dairy-Free Coconut Yogurt, Strawberry flavor, after a customer complaint revealed that yogurt containing almond was packaged without disclosing the allergen on the label.
The affected product was shipped to H-E-B distribution centers and retail grocery stores throughout Texas on November 24, 2025.
According to the FDA, the recalled yogurt was sold in 5.3-ounce plastic cups with foil lids and carries a Best By date of January 2, 2026, printed on the bottom of the container.
People with an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds could face serious or potentially life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the product. No illnesses or injuries have been reported as of the recall announcement.
The recall was initiated after PlantBased Innovations determined that almond-containing product had been distributed in packaging that failed to declare the presence of the allergen.
Consumers who purchased the affected yogurt and have an almond allergy or sensitivity are advised not to consume the product. Customers may return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of it safely.
Consumers with questions can contact PlantBased Innovations at 978-600-0904, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST, or by email at [email protected].
