A new wine bar and travel convenience store combo is offering a futuristic shopping experience to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport travelers.

One of the largest travel retailers in North America, Hudson operates more than 1,000 stores in tourist destinations and landmarks, as well as airports and commuter hubs across the nation.

Hudson’s innovative travel essentials store, Hudson Nonstop, uses Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology, which lets shoppers enter, grab what they want, and leave with a simple wave of the hand.

Now, Hudson Nonstop has paired up with Decanted wine bar to bring the innovative shopping method to the DFW airport.

“From the food to the overall experience, our new Decanted and Hudson Nonstop concept allows travelers to shop and eat the way they want to,” said Evan Schut, SVP of Food & Beverage of Hudson, in a press release.

“With this milestone new opening, we further establish Hudson as a driver of the latest in dining innovation while continuing to deliver the widest variety of offerings, all in one place.”

Together, Hudson and Decanted will share a combined space that spans about 1,600 square feet in Terminal B near gate B29.

Decanted is described in the press release as “a chic and inviting setting, trimmed with modern finishes throughout, and complete with 25 seats to enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, or tapas.”

The new combination-style store will showcase artisanal charcuterie boards, bruschettas, hand-made flatbreads, soups, salads, and desserts, and a selection of wine, craft beer, and alcohol.

For breakfast, patrons can enjoy an egg, sausage, and cheese croissant, overnight oats, or an Applewood bacon and egg flatbread.

An expansive wine list unites reds and crisp, tangy whites, joined by a curated selection of hand-shaken cocktails and other alcoholic beverages.

This is the fourth Hudson Nonstop travel store in the U.S. Here in the DFW area, it joins Hudson’s first store at Dallas Love Field Airport, which opened a year ago.

JL Hudson’s in Detroit was my first “employer” as I modeled In Their teenage shows on Saturday. It has been so long ago, I can barely remember. Hope to see their shops in the airport.
