Playground Games and Xbox Game Studios issued a new hotfix for Forza Horizon 6 on Monday, addressing key gameplay issues in the open-world racer set in Japan.
The Series 3 Hotfix 1 update, version 403.798 across Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC (Xbox app), and Steam, became available July 20.
Key fixes include:
- Resolved an issue with Manual w/Clutch that prevented clutch kicking while drifting and allowed unintended instant shifting via handbrake and shift buttons.
- Fixed Horizon Drifting Sessions ending abruptly after starting.
The update follows the broader Series 3 content drop earlier in July, which added new cars, events, and playlist items. Developers continue monitoring player feedback for ongoing stability improvements.
Forza Horizon 6, released in May 2026 for Xbox and PC with a later PlayStation 5 version planned, has seen regular post-launch support. The game features a stylized Tokyo open world, extensive vehicle roster, and online multiplayer elements popular with racing enthusiasts.
Players can download the hotfix automatically through their platform’s update system. No new content was added in this patch, which focuses on quality-of-life and bug resolution.
Forza Support encouraged players experiencing save issues or other known problems to check the game’s known issues list for workarounds while additional fixes are prepared.
The series remains one of Xbox’s flagship exclusives, blending arcade-style racing with deep customization and festival atmosphere. Monday’s hotfix aims to smooth gameplay for the active community.
