Denver-based fast-food chain Birdcall is bringing its delicious crispy chicken sandwiches to Dallas.

Birdcall comes from founders Peter Newlin and Jean-Philippe Failyau, who partnered up in 2016 in an effort to bring a better chicken sandwich to patrons while operating above-standard for your average fast-food location. The restaurant prides itself on its 100% all-natural chicken.

Birdcall is also big on supporting the communities they belong to, according to Dallas Culture Maps (DCM). The small chain utilizes local vendors to supply their business. “Peter saw this gap in the market for higher-quality ingredients,” spokesperson Sarah Shepard shared with DCM.

“We’re planning on a handful of locations in the Dallas area,” Shepard said, sharing that there are plans to expand the chain throughout the state of Texas. “Texas was a natural step, as we looked at expanding outside Colorado. Many of our team members grew up in Texas. And we saw the demand for a great-quality chicken sandwich.”

Birdcall offers dine-in or take-out, breakfast and lunch, as well as catering services. The menu features an array of chicken sandwiches: Nashville Hot, Buffalo, Grilled Chicken Caesar, the Deluxe, the Southern (featuring pimento cheese spread and cole slaw), the Rancher, and a Veggie sandwich made with all-natural crispy tofu.

The restaurant also serves tenders, kids’ meals, and creamy shakes. For those looking for something on the healthier side, Birdcall does offer salads: Chop, Asian, Kale & Quinoa, as well as Caesar and Buffalo.

Birdcall’s first Texas location will open in Carrollton in the spot Taco Cabana once called home, 3232 E. Hebron Parkway. Birdcall plans to open this year in late spring.
