As part of a limited-time offer, Dairy Queen will begin selling Blizzards for 85 cents.

The American ice cream and fast-food chain Dairy Queen (DQ) revealed its fall menu on Monday and announced an app-exclusive offer that lets registered customers purchase a Blizzard Treat for 85 cents for a two-week period in September.

Summer might be the perfect season for frozen treats, but that does not mean ice cream lovers cannot enjoy the icy delicacy during the fall season, too. DQ’s limited-time offer will be available at participating locations from September 11-24, according to a press release from the Bloomington, Minnesota-based fast-food chain.

The two-week offer, which pays homage to the invention of the Blizzard Treat in 1985, will give customers a budget-friendly way to enjoy the frozen delicacy and an extra way to ring in the fall season, DQ said in the release.

DQ started in 1940 in Joliet, Illinois. The company’s first restaurant opened in 1953 in Canada. Today, there are over 7,000 locations in more than 20 countries. The ice cream empire includes dozens of restaurants in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex alone.

To access the exclusive offer, customers in Texas must first download the Texas Dairy Queen mobile app and then register to become a DQ Rewards member. The one-time offer should be viewable in the app about 24 hours after registering.

DQ initially introduced the 85-cent Blizzard promotion back in March as a way to drum up excitement for summer. The season promotion included the Cotton Candy Blizzard, the S’mores Blizzard, and the Choco-Dipped Strawberry Blizzard.

As is tradition for the fast-food chain, DQ often introduces new season menu items to entice new and old customers.

The seasonal items featured in the fall menu, which rolled out on August 28, include Snickerdoodle Cookie Dough Blizzard, Royal Reese’s Fluffernutter Blizzard, Pumpkin Pie Blizzard, Caramel Fudge Cheesecake Blizzard, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Pie Blizzard, Oreo Hot Cocoa Blizzard, and Choco-Dipped Strawberry Blizzard.

The promotional deal will only last a short while, so snag your 85-cent Blizzard while the offer is available.

Note: This article was updated at 1:07 p.m. on September 13 to clarify that Texas customers must use Dairy Queen’s Texas-specific mobile app to get the deal.
