Two healthcare companies have merged to bring their solutions to more hospitals in Texas and across the country.

CorroHealth in Plano and Versalus Health are merging, according to a CorroHealth press release. The new organization formed by the merger will be named Corro Clinical. The combined services of technology, insight, healthcare analytics, capabilities, and expertise are immediately available for clients.

Jay Ahlmer, the president of Versalus Health, shared that merging gives clients access to more healthcare solutions.

“This is an exciting development,” Ahlmer said in the press release. “Bringing together CorroHealth and Versalus Health provides all our clients with more integrated, flexible, and scalable solutions across the full revenue cycle. With unsurpassed healthcare analytics, clinical leadership, and regulatory expertise, we are now in a better position than ever to deliver transformative financial impact to our hospital partners.”

Versalus Health is known for offering healthcare analytics solutions and physician advisory services. According to the press release, the company has worked with over 200 U.S. health systems and hospitals since 2016. It has assisted these systems in recovering about $2 billion in revenue.

Solutions from Versalus Health recover revenue lost in blind spots through clinical insight and data analytics, according to the company.

CorroHealth also works to improve the financial performances of health systems and hospitals, the press release shares. The company has over 7,500 employees around the world.

CorroHealth CEO Patrick Leonard stated in the press release that combining the two companies will expand options for clients from both.

“I am pleased to welcome Versalus Health to the CorroHealth family,” Leonard said. “Together, we have the right team, deep expertise, technology, and a culture of innovation to further support our clients as the healthcare landscape continues to evolve. Our clients now have an even more robust menu of options to choose from, enabling them to deploy the exact solution that works best for their unique business goals and situational needs. It’s a tremendous leap forward for the RCM space.”

Ahlmer was appointed the president of Versalus Health in November, according to a press release from November 15. Before being named president, he was the company’s senior vice president for strategic accounts.

Ahlmer shared in the November press release that as president, he would continue helping health partners with revenue recovery. Accountability is key to this goal, according to Ahlmer.

“It is imperative that hospitals continue holding payers accountable to reimburse for the care that’s being provided,” he said. “To accomplish this, hospitals must have a firm grasp on their data and deploy a thoughtful, effective payment integrity strategy. To make that a reality requires leveraging national data, benchmarking data, and regional data as well. The unrelenting pursuit of accountability from payers is our goal and our challenge so that our partner hospitals are receiving fair payment for the good care they’re providing.”

Current clients of Versalus Health can now use the comprehensive solutions available through CorroHealth.

The new Corro Clinical will continue to be clinically led.
