Omni Hotels & Resorts has announced the start of construction on the highly anticipated Omni PGA Frisco Resort, which the City of Frisco and PGA of America have partnered to develop.

“Today marks an exciting new chapter for Omni Hotels & Resorts as we break ground on our first resort to be built from the ground up,” Peter Strebel, the President of Omni Hotels & Resorts, said in a press release.

Development will cost $500 million and is set to open in Spring 2023. With seven four-bedroom private golf villas overlooking two 18-hole championship golf courses, the resort is set to become a “leading destination for golf.”

PGA Frisco is set to be the new home of the PGA Headquarters, designed to give 28,000 PGA Gold Professionals and golfers of all skill levels an ideal resort experience.

“We’re honored to be able to celebrate this momentous occasion in our home state of Texas and to build the Omni brand’s flagship resort in the City of Frisco. Omni Hotels & Resorts exists to provide guests authentically local experiences, and this stunning resort will certainly create a lasting legacy for golf enthusiasts, families, and groups of generations to come,” said Strebel.

In addition to its seven golf villas, Omni PGA Frisco Resort will have 501 guest rooms. It is the largest resort currently under development in the country, boasting 127,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space as well as twelve dining outlets, three pools, and a destination spa. A retail and entertainment district will also offer dining, shopping, and an outdoor stage for concerts and other programs.

The development is the result of a collaboration between hospitality professionals including SB Architects, Robert Glazier Architects, Brasfield and Gorrie for general contracting, and Jeffrey Beers International for interior design.

Omni Hotels & Resorts currently has over fifty luxury hotels and resorts in leisure destinations across North America. The company owns more than twenty-one golf courses and twenty-four award-winning spas in different locations nationwide.
