Buffalo Wild Wings makes a sly remark hinting at Red Lobster, which recently filed for bankruptcy.

Buffalo Wild Wings took to social media to not only poke fun at Red Lobster but also offer a promotion that might ring a bell among restaurant connoisseurs.

The restaurant’s post features a strikingly similar promotion to one that the seafood chain had before filing for bankruptcy. Buffalo Wild Wings will offer a $19.99 promotion for all-you-can-eat boneless wings and fries on Mondays and Wednesdays for dine-in customers. The caption reads, “pls don’t bankrupt us,” hinting at Red Lobster’s demise

Buffalo Wild Wings’ spin-off promotion will run for a limited time and has restrictions applied. Due to the fluctuating prices of bone-in wings, customers can only order boneless wings on the promotion. The offer is also limited to one person, prohibiting customers from sharing with each other on this deal, according to NBC 5 DFW.

Before filing for bankruptcy, Red Lobster ran a promotion called the “Endless Shrimp” campaign, which was ultimately unsuccessful for the seafood chain, as previously reported by The Dallas Express. The offer generated popularity among their customers, but even after raising the price of this deal from $22 to $25, Red Lobster was forced to go bankrupt.

Red Lobster closed dozens of locations across the country, including a few in Dallas. With growing costs and a lack of profitable returns, the restaurant was forced to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on May 20, as previously reported by The Dallas Express. The chain is now seeking a buyer. In the meantime, the restaurant will focus on downsizing and selling what it can to remain afloat.
