Bobby’s Burgers, a New York-based group of fast-casual restaurants founded by Chef Bobby Flay, has announced plans to build new restaurants in Dallas.

The chain, founded by Food Network star and celebrity chef Bobby Flay in 2021, is a rebranding of Bobby’s Burger Palace, which opened its first location in July 2008 at the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove, New York.

Flay starred on Food Network’s iconic show Iron Chef America before his dramatic departure in 2017, when he quit mid-episode during a cooking competition. He has since hosted shows Brunch at Bobby’s, BBQ With Bobby, BBQ Brawl, Throwdown! With Bobby Flay, and Beat Bobby Flay.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, most Bobby’s Burger Palace locations were permanently closed. Bobby’s Burgers launched in 2021 as the new fast-food variation of the original chain.

The chain offers a variety of American dishes, such as hamburgers, fries, and milkshakes, and offers dine-in, to-go, and drive-thru options. The company has five locations in New York, Las Vegas, and Atlantic City.

“Dallas is an ideal market for Bobby’s Burgers, and we’re ready to give residents a taste of the experience,” said Laurence Kretchmer, co-founder and managing partner of Bobby’s Burgers.

“We’re all about having a great-tasting burger while also being approachable to the everyday person. We have created a concept that is scalable and positioned for multi-unit growth, and we are seeking experienced operators to help deliver a consistent, ultimate burger experience every time.”

The company announced that it plans to expand its franchise to other cities, including Charlotte, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Atlanta, and Salt Lake City.

“The menu is like no other, and we want people in new markets, like Dallas, to be able to encounter the full opportunity to enjoy a dining experience,” Kretchmer said in a news release.
