A mixed-use development in Plano is being refreshed with the addition of three new family-friendly food and beverage tenants.
Known as Assembly Park, the new development being introduced by Triten Real Estate Partners at the site of a former mall will see three new establishments open, all under the same two owners. The restaurants are the brainchild of Jacob Cox and Danny Wilson, founders of the hospitality company Blender Brands.
“Assembly Park is a creative, walkable mixed-use neighborhood providing area residents and daily visitors with a modern destination featuring eclectic dining and retail, creative office, and urban-style living options with a strong connection to the outdoors and an active and healthy lifestyle. The property is centered around a freshly planted park and event space dedicated to afternoon rest, fitness, and collaboration and is host to frequent outdoor events providing the community with a weekly source of entertainment,” reads a description on the Assembly Park website.
Assembly Icehouse
Assembly Icehouse will be a 4,850-square-foot space outfitted with more than 20 televisions, two massive 15-foot LED screens, and a full-service bar. It will include a covered outdoor patio to give patrons a view of the development’s central park. Expect beer from local breweries on tap.
Tacoro
This quick-service Mexican restaurant will sit in a smaller 2,000-square-foot space with limited seating, but will also feature its own full-service bar, complete with margaritas.
Cliff Coffee
Taking inspiration from the American Southwest, this coffee shop will be outfitted in vibrant colors and familiar landscapes. At 2,000 square feet, it will have the same footprint as Tacoro. Patrons can enjoy locally sourced baked goods and coffee, all in the comfort of a cozy space.
“As members of the local community, we recognized the shortage of nearby opportunities where kids can run free, parents can relax, and groups of friends can gather… We knew Assembly Park was set to be a game changer. We believe the human desire to congregate in an activated, outdoor environment, like what Assembly Park offers, meets the demands of today’s food and beverage consumers. Our hope with the introduction of these new concepts is to spur opportunity and continued growth for East Plano as well as encourage gathering for our residents, students and workers,” said Jacob Cox in a statement.
All three establishments are expected to open in early Spring 2025.
