Amazon is seeking to fill 8,000 seasonal employees in the metroplex this holiday season.
All seasonal employees will earn at least $18 per hour and have full benefits from day one. Workers also have access to an Amazon Prime employee discount.
“The details vary depending on the role, but all of our jobs offer great pay, flexible schedules, and access to a range of benefits,” said Amazon in a release. In addition to health, vision, and dental insurance, full-time workers will also have access to education programs, where Amazon pre-pays tuition for employees to earn college degrees.
Amazon is opening 18,000 part-time and full-time seasonal positions across Texas and 250,000 nationally.
“While a seasonal or part-time role can be great for someone looking to make some extra income over the holidays, if an employee is looking for career growth, these jobs can be a great way to see if Amazon is a good long-term fit for them,” said Amazon.
Nearly one-third of seasonal employees return each year. Additionally, seasonal employees who remain employed at Amazon often see an average pay increase of 15% over their first three years.
The exact positions that are open have not been specified.
Those interested in working seasonally at Amazon can go to amazon.com/localjobs or text NEWJOB to 31432 to sign up for job alerts. Season roles will be posted throughout the holidays and fill up quickly.
