Amazon is facing serious outages that started on Tuesday. The company’s cloud computing unit was hit and took down some major websites and services along with it.

As the company’s status page stated, the outage began at 10 a.m. and is impacting AWS’ main US-East-1 region. The services that use Amazon Web Services include Disney+, Netflix, Slack, Ticketmaster, Robinhood, Ring, and Coinbase. Collectively, these companies have been experiencing problems and connectivity issues since early Tuesday morning.

The outage has affected delivery for Amazon’s packages as well. Warehouse, delivery workers, and Amazon’s Flex service reported that they were unable to access their respective apps, making it impossible to scan packages or access delivery routes. Seller Central, an internal website used to manage customer orders, was also reported down by Amazon sellers.

In a notice sent to delivery drivers, the company said it was “currently monitoring a network-wide technical outage.” It’s currently unclear how many warehouses and delivery stations are experiencing issues because of the outage. Warehouse and delivery workers have been told to wait in break rooms until issues have been resolved, making them unable to go about their workday.

“The root cause of this issue is an impairment of several network devices in the US-EAST-1 Region. We are pursuing multiple mitigation paths in parallel, and have seen some signs of recovery, but we do not have an ETA for full recovery at this time,” Amazon stated on their official status page.

Amazon Web Services is in the middle of a peak season when holiday shoppers constantly place orders. Because of this, the outage has put the company under an enormous amount of pressure.

While some services have been restored, the internet connection is still reportedly slow and more unsteady than usual. Amazon expects to resolve the issue soon, as their status page states. Amazon Web Services urges you to stay tuned to their status page for more updates.
