A shooting incident occurred in a high school in Arlington on Wednesday morning, injuring four people. According to Arlington police, the incident happened as a result of a fight that broke out at Timberview High School. There is a video of the alleged altercation on Twitter.

A Mansfield ISD spokeswoman also told Fox News Digital that a police situation at Timberview High School had the school on lockdown. Police say three students are among the people that were shot, one of who is possibly a teacher.

Arlington police responded to the scene of the shooting and launched an investigation into the cause of the shooting. According to DFW Scanner, multiple law enforcement agencies arrived at the school around 9:30 a.m. after receiving calls about a potential shooter.

The department confirmed that it is carrying out a “methodical search” and working closely with ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives) and the Mansfield Police Department, Grand Prairie Police Department, and other agencies. The Mansfield Independent School District, which has its own police department, is also involved in the investigation.

Mansfield ISD is setting up a parent reunification point at the Center for Performing Arts at 1110 W. Debbie, where students will be transferred after the school is completely secured. Arlington police said in a tweet that officers would be dispatched to the scene.

The investigation uncovered a suspect, police say. Police identified the suspect as 18-year-old Timothy George Simpkins. According to authorities, Simpkins likely fled the scene in a 2018 Silver Dodge Charger with license plate PFY-6260.

Per Dallas Police Department’s website, the department’s Air-1 helicopter was overhead while officers searched the building from inside.

Police seek help from residents who might have information about Simpkin’s location. Anyone who spots him, a black 18-year-old, is urged to call 911.
