With help from a Southwest Airlines agent, a young girl was reunited with a lost stuffed animal.
The stuffed animal was left in a rental car when Southwest Airlines employee Jessica Dulin and her daughter Luna were visiting Dallas from Baltimore. The pair’s trip was meant to celebrate Jessica’s 10th year working at Southwest. It was not until Jessica and Luna returned to Baltimore that they realized “Dog Dog” was left in the rental car back in Dallas.
Jessica got in contact with a Southwest Airlines agent back in Dallas named Christina, who then generously drove to the rental car company to retrieve Dog Dog.
Rather than shipping the stuffed animal, Dog Dog stayed in Christina’s care for around a month.
During this time, Dog Dog had the experience of a lifetime with his temporary companion. When Christina traveled, he went with her, and she snapped photos to share with Luna.
Southwest sent out a tweet last Thursday, stating, “HAVE YOU SEEN THIS DOG?! Apparently, he’s been jet-setting all over the place looking for his owner,” later adding, “the plot thickens! This good boy is a great co-pilot, but he’s still searching the skies for his favorite human, Luna.”
After a month of travel, Christina was able to give Dog Dog back to Luna when the mother and daughter returned to Dallas. Along with her stuffed animal, Luna also received a photo album of Dog Dog’s travels with Christina and Southwest Airlines.
Jessica was very grateful for this act of kindness.
She stated, “I have the pleasure of seeing small acts of kindness often as a Southwest Airlines employee, and to be on the receiving end as a passenger made my day! … I’m so grateful to Christina and I always tell people at the company that they need a friend like her.”
