A San Antonio woman allegedly set her boyfriend’s home on fire in the early morning hours of Sunday after her FaceTime call to her boyfriend was answered by another woman.

Bexar County officials said the woman who answered the call was the boyfriend’s relative.

Following the FaceTime call, Senaida Marie Soto, 23, allegedly broke into her boyfriend’s house around 1:45 a.m. on November 20. A witness reportedly saw Soto take several items from the residence and place them in her gray Kia Optima.

Soto then allegedly reentered the home and videoed herself lighting the couch on fire. She reportedly FaceTimed her boyfriend again, revealing a chair set ablaze.

Before ending the call, Soto allegedly said, “I hope your stuff is going to be okay,” according to an affidavit obtained by KSAT news.

Soto also reportedly texted her boyfriend before driving away, saying, “I hope your house is okay.”

The flames rapidly spread throughout the house, resulting in more than $50,000 in damages.

The boyfriend, who was not at home at the time, called 911 to report the arson.

Soto was arrested a day later and charged with burglary of a habitation and arson. If convicted of arson, a first-degree felony in the State of Texas, Soto could face a minimum of 5 years in prison up to a life sentence.

Bexar County records show that Soto is currently being held in the county jail on a combined bond of $165,000.
