A huge development broke ground recently near Uptown and Knox-Henderson off US-75, reported Culture Map Dallas.
The 19-story apartment building with 351 units is part of a collaboration between a Dallas developer and a Japanese real estate company. It is set to open in 2025.
The new development called “The Oliver” is located within an even larger development called “The Central” on US-75 near Haskell Avenue, formerly the site of the Leaning Tower.
The Oliver is being developed by StreetLights Residential, a Dallas-based developer and a U.S. subsidiary of the Japanese company Mitsui Fudosan Co. The companies have not yet stated what the potential rent will be.
“The Central will become a top destination for retailers and residents alike and we are thrilled to be part of this mixed-use community, providing a seamless interaction between cutting-edge living and urban greenspaces,” Greg Coutant, vice-president of StreetLights Residential, said in a statement. “Our goal is to design a high-quality, timeless building that enriches the lives of residents and the surrounding neighborhood.”
The Oliver will feature quartz countertops, designer tile, GE-grade gas appliances, and even a Fabita cooktop for some apartments as well as under-cabinet beverage fridges, smart Fabita cooking appliances, custom lighting, and eight-foot doorways.
Floor plans will range from 585 square feet to 1,830 square feet with options for studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments available.
Amenities will include a coffee bar with a Starbucks coffee machine, a coworking space with a television and two private offices, bike storage with a tool kit station, and a dog washing station with basins suitable for every size dog.
That’s not to mention the pool, gym with weights, yoga, Pilates, Echelon Reflect mirror, cardio equipment, elliptical equipment, and more.
StreetLights already has some communities in Frisco, Victory Park, Arlington, and Deep Ellum among other places.
