A dog park restaurant called Mutts Canine Cantina has opened a location in West Village, Dallas, providing a haven for dogs and dog owners alike.
“We’re an off-leash dog park that is membership-based. You can buy day passes and monthly memberships. So the dogs are off-leash running around having a great time, while their parents are just chilling, having a cocktail or a lemonade or whatever,” Austin Green, operations director of Mutts Canine Cantina, said.
The Cantina offers casual fares, craft beers served concession-style on a dog-friendly patio and an off-leash park. Their menu includes burgers, fried chicken, sandwiches, and fried pickles. On their “yappy hour” menu is a “hair of the dog” special of mimosas or Bloody Marys. From their “woof menu” you can order your pups a “pupsicle,” an edible stick of frozen peanut butter and beef broth, or a “doggie dog,” a bite-size 100% beef frank.
Also offered are cocktails, margaritas, seasonal frozen drinks, and a selection of rotating local craft beers, wine, lemonade, and shakes.
The Canine Cantina offers daily passes and monthly or yearly memberships, allowing diners and pets to tramp across their off-leash dog park, with separate areas for small and large breed dogs.
They have Bark Rangers on duty to pick up after your pet and ensure that the dogs have enough water and giant washtubs on-site so owners can relax and mingle with fellow members.
The unique bar and grill also offers local music, entertainment, and an events schedule. Those who do not own dogs are also welcome at Mutts.
In addition to its West Village location, Mutts Canine Cantina has locations in Allen, Austin, and Fort Worth. The company plans to open in El Paso and New Braunfels in Texas, including Tucson, Phoenix, and Denver.
