The Best Place For Kids, a public-private education partnership in Fort Worth is launching a new app.
The organization believes that getting people to work together will build a community where kids can succeed and families can gain enough support, hence, the creation of The Parent Pass App.
The Parent Pass App is characterized by a large number of parenting materials which includes a child care finder, learning resources for kids aged up to 18 years old, family time, and community events.
The Best Place For Kids team and a total of 100 families from different parts of Fort Worth came together to design and develop the app. These families spent more than 1200 hours exploring and evaluating every single feature, verifying its importance and functionality.
The app provides parents with a good time to bond with other parents in Fort Worth, and also gain access to fundamental resources and educational opportunities.
Sadie Funk, the director of The Best Place For Kids said that the team’s aim is to create an “impressive connection among families and empower them by providing useful information and tools they need.” “By partnering with Fort Worth families to create this product, we were able to put in place core support, partners, and resources that are paramount to them,” Sadie added.
The app is free to download on Google Play and the App Store. A two-minute tutorial on how to navigate the app is also provided for first-time users.
“I am in awe of how partners and parents came together to give their time and abilities to the success of this incredible product for the use of the entire Fort Worth community,” Mayor Mattie Parker, the CEO of Fort Worth Cradle to Career said. “The Parent Pass App is a perfect model of what a community can achieve with unity,” she stated.
Sadie confirmed that the Parent Pass App can be of use to any parent who wants the resources and is in Tarrant County.
To celebrate the launch of this notable app, The Best Place For Kids hosted an event at Dream Park on October 8.
