Haltom City Police identified and arrested two suspects in connection with a double homicide that occurred early Sunday morning.

Police were called to the 1900 block of Bernice Street at around 1:55 a.m. on September 18 concerning a reported shooting. Witnesses told police there was a disturbance outside, and two people had been shot.

When officers arrived, they found two men dead at the scene. The victims’ identities have not yet been released, pending a coroner’s report and notification of the victim’s families.

The two adult male suspects fled before police arrived but were found later that morning and taken into custody before noon, according to police.

The suspects’ identities have not yet been released, pending their arraignment in court. Once they have been processed, their names and the charges against them will be made public.

One of the men was arrested Sunday morning by Haltom City police, and the other was taken into custody just before noon by the Haltom City SWAT team, with assistance from the North Richland Hills Police Department.

The investigation is still ongoing.
