An Amber Alert was revoked about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday when 1-year-old Austin resident Sailor Tucker was found safe and her biological mother was detained.
Austin police had issued the Amber Alert at 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, explaining that the child was missing after having last been seen Tuesday night. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a teal pajama top with teal mermaid shorts, the alert said.
Officials identified Jessica Skelton, 22, as a suspect. Skelton is white with black hair and green eyes; she weighs approximately 140 pounds and is 5’4″. When last seen, the alert said, she had been wearing a red dress and a black, sleeveless shirt.
Amber Alerts are only issued when it is believed that the child is in danger. There have been 14 Texas Amber Alerts this summer. All but one case has been classified as found.
