A growing Waco-based construction services firm is relocating its corporate headquarters to Uptown Dallas.

Stellar Services Brands will move into a 60,000-square-foot office building on Katy Trail at 2929 Carlisle Street. About a dozen employees will work in the new Uptown office space when Stellar moves later this year, according to the company.

Stellar is a multi-brand residential and commercial service holding company that franchises home and business improvement services.

The company has more than 465 franchise brands across the U.S., including Restoration 1, an emergency reconstruction and restoration firm; Bluefrog Plumbing +Drian, a plumbing repair business; The Driveway Co., a driveway repair company; and Softroc, a rubber surfacing firm.

Officials for the firm say they are relocating to Dallas to tap into a larger labor pool and for easy access to DFW International Airport and Dallas Love Field.

“We at Stellar Service Brands are committed to helping our franchise partners realize their American dream by creative business ownership opportunities,” said Sherry Rose, the chief executive officer at Stellar. “The decision to relocate our corporate headquarters is intended to position us to attract the best talent in order to meet the needs of each brand’s growth.”

Stellar Services Brands is backed by the Dallas-based private investment firm MPK Equity Partners.

A representative of the firm said, “There is also an on-site training facility being built which will be launched early next year,” according to a company email.

Earlier this year, Sherry Rose became Chief Executive Officer of Stellar Services, replacing Gary Findley, who transitioned to become the company’s chairman of the board.

“I am honored to move into this role and work towards a new and exciting future for Stellar Service Brands. Our primary goal remains to create a network of brands dedicated to providing exemplary services and outstanding results,” said Rose.

Stellar said in the first half of 2022, it had signed a 40 franchise agreement, according to a company announcement
