The Dallas Police Department arrested a teen in connection with the fatal beating of a woman on Saturday, according to authorities.

Officers responded to a call about a fight in the 6800 block of Brierfield Circle near West Camp Wilson Road at approximately 2:06 p.m. on August 6. Responding officers observed Arianna Guice allegedly assaulting Dalonna Morris, 46, in the front yard of a residence.

Officers immediately restrained the 18-year-old and took her into custody. Dallas Fire-Rescue also responded and took Morris to an area hospital, where she died.

Guice was booked into the Dallas County jail on Saturday night, and her bond was set at $100,000. It is not clear if the 18-year-old has an attorney.

Dallas police said they are still investigating the case, and additional charges could still be filed.
