Dallas police are investigating a shooting death that occurred recently involving a suspect who allegedly threatened to kill a homeowner.

Around 11:03 p.m. on July 30, officers responded to a shooting in the 2600 block of Quinto Drive.

According to a preliminary investigation, a male suspect was allegedly trespassing in the neighborhood and attempted to break into many vehicles.

Before being shot, the unidentified male reportedly threatened to kill a homeowner and charged at the man twice while acting as if he had a weapon.

The suspect was transported to a local hospital, where he later died. The medical examiner will determine the identity of the man.

It is unclear whether the homeowner will face charges. The Dallas Police Department told The Dallas Express that the investigation is ongoing.
