Barclay Berdan, FACHE, CEO of Texas Health Resources, said though the healthcare industry was rocked by a difficult two-and-a-half years, the industry’s commitment to caring for patients never wavered. He claimed Texas Health provided compassionate care “for all stages of life” through an “array of hospital-based specialties.”

According to the report, the Texas Health system was rated highest in consumer care in a 16-county service area.

Winjie Miao, senior executive vice president and COO of Texas Health Resources, welcomes U.S. News & World Report’s recognition of Texas Health’s work. “We are working every day to improve the health of the people in the communities we are so privileged to serve,” she said.

The report by U.S. News factored in a hospital’s performance based on qualifications like survival rates, complication rates, patient experience, and level of nursing care. The report sourced data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the American Hospital Association, professional organizations, and medical specialists.
